Laura Johnson, LMFT, LPCC, is the Director of the Social Anxiety Center, a regional clinic of the National Social Anxiety Center. Her approach to social anxiety therapy is results-oriented and unique in that she uses two evidence-based therapies.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is the gold standard for social anxiety. You’ll learn cognitive reframing skills to change how you think and exposure to face your fears. Schema Therapy helps if you have deeper issues underlying your social anxiety or avoidant personality and traditional CBT or other forms of therapy have not worked for you.

Laura Johnson, LMFT, LPCC, is a Board Member of the National Social Anxiety Center, where she has been a member for over a decade. She is also the Recruitment Coordinator for the Center and responsible for evaluating that new clinics meet the member standards and bringing new qualified clinics on board. Each new clinic must be dedicated to social anxiety treatment and be certified (or becoming certified) in cognitive behavior therapy. Laura is author of Social Anxiety for Dummies, a user friendly guide to help you heal from social anxiety. Laura helps expand access to evidence-based therapy for social anxiety across the country.
